Clifford L. HansonPEORIA – Clifford LeRoy Hanson, 94, of Peoria, died at 2:50 a.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at UnityPoint Health-Proctor in Peoria.Cliff was born on December 23, 1921, in Peoria to Nels and Lydia (Fredell) Hanson. He married Mary Etta McClure on June 22, 1947. She survives.Cliff is also survived by two sons, Mark Alan (Debbie) Hanson of Edwards, and Michael (Allison) Hanson of Dunlap; 5 grandchildren, Brian (Susanah) Hanson, Kelley (Matt) Ryan, Lindsey, Kirsten, and Elise Hanson; 3 great-grandchildren, and a daughter-in-law, Deb Hanson of Brighton, Mich.He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Steven Nels Hanson.Cliff graduated from Bradley University in 1946. He served our country in the U.S. Army during WWII in Europe and was discharged as a Master Sergeant. Cliff was a co-owner of H.B. McClure Manufacturing Co. Cliff was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Peoria.Cremation rites will be accorded. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 7, 2016, at United Presbyterian Church in Peoria with Rev. Stephen McKinney-Whitaker officiating.
