Clifford (Cliff) Albert ParrottKnoxville, TNClifford Albert (Cliff) Parrott, age 89, of Knoxville, TN passed away peacefully on June 18, 2017. Cliff was born on November 14, 1927 in San Diego, CA. His parents were Frederick and Emily (nee MacFarlane) Parrott. He was one of nine children and the final to pass. Cliff is preceded in death by his cherished wife, Betty Jane (nee Strong) Parrott. He is survived by his 6 children, Christine Fredette (Ernie), Jackie Rosheim (Doug), Patty Fitzgerald, Georgia Thompson, Vicky Hsieh and Thomas Parrott (Ellen); 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren - too many names to mention but knew them all by name or number. They were his joy - he talked about them all the time - usually with a huge smile. He entered the Marines (Aviation) at the end of WW2 and served honorably. He retired from McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Company after a 30 year career. He was a man of God and kept close to him in good times and bad. He was eagerly awaiting his savior. Like fine wines, Cliff aged well, he become more loving and concerned for his family and all around him. He was a true success in the most meaningful way. A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 22nd at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
