Clarence William "Bill" Barrett1927 - 2014Mendon, Utah - William Barrett, 86, passed away due to complications from surgery on June 13, 2014 in Logan.William was born on June 16, 1927, in Wellsville, Utah, to Clarence Samuel and Martha Stuart Barrett.William graduated from South Cache High School. He served two years in the United States Army. He married the love of his life, Sharilyn Cooper, on May 2, 1964, and were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple.William worked at the Army Depot in Ogden Utah until it closed and then moved to Hill Air Force Base to finish his career in 1988. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. William and Sharilyn raised five boys, Stacy, Tracy (Rene), Kelly (Carolee), Tim (Jacina), and Glade (Becky). He is survived by his wife Sharilyn, his five children, and thirteen grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Lyle and Jeff (Lisa) Cooper, sisters-in-law, Nina Lee Darley, Carolyn Cooper, Vickie (Jim) Olsen, Beryl Barrett and Marise Barrett. William was preceded in death by his father, Clarence, his mother, Martha, brothers, Charles and Stanton, and two grandchildren. Also preceding him in death are his father and mother in-law, Alton and Tressa Cooper and brother-in-law, Boyd Cooper.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday June 18, 2014 at the Mendon Stake Center, 476 S. 100 East. A viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Allen Hall Mortuary, 34 E. Center Street in Logan and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church prior to services.
