BUTLER — Clarence E. "Clare" Bonecutter, 91, of Butler, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2015, at his home. He was born on June 23, 1923 in Bronson, Michigan, to Jesse C. and Mabel C. (Konst) Bonecutter. Clare was a 1941 graduate of Butler High School. He married Joan Smith on December 29, 1946, in Butler. He retired from Hendrickson Tandem in Butler after 36 years of service. He currently worked for 19 years at Arby's in Auburn. He was a member of the Butler United Methodist Church. Clare sang in a local quartet at several churches around Butler. He enjoyed his work at Arby's by visiting with the patrons. Survivors include his wife, Joan of Butler; three sons, Mark D. (Virginia) Bonecutter of Auburn, Perry (Caren) Bonecutter of Auburn, and Neil (Joanna) Bonecutter of Edgerton, Ohio; a daughter, Deann Bonecutter Munger of Waterloo; a brother, Maurice (Dorothy) Bonecutter of Auburn; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Paul Bonecutter; four sisters, Jessta Jean Trethric, Lois Bennett, Annabelle Schott and Mareta Mutzfeld; and two grandsons, Scott Bonecutter and Neil Bonecutter Jr. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2015, at Butler United Methodist Church beginning at 1 p.m., with a memorial service to follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Kevin Marsh officiating.
