Clara Ann Malerba, 93, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Tuesday, December 17, 2019, at Wellbridge of Pinckney, MI.  She was born October 17, 1926 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Mary & Felice Improte.  She married the love of her life, the late Joseph Malerba on September 8, 1946.  They raised six children in their home in Somersworth, NH.

Clara is remembered for her beautiful smile.  She loved to laugh and enjoyed life to the fullest.  She treasured time with her family and friends; cooking, gardening, dancing, traveling, gambling and being a member of the Red Hats Association.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Surviving are her children: Frank Malerba (Colette), Phil Malerba (Beverly), Lucille Van Lare (Robert), Marylyn Robertson, Joanne Riley (Dal), and Angela Melanson (Randy);  11 grandchildren: Shawn VanLare, Cara Malerba, Nicole Gitler, Felicia McElroy, Vanessa Haines, Joseph Malerba, Lauren Robertson, Adrienne Heath, James Riley, Jonathan and Elianna Melanson; and 11 great grand children: Tyler & Kylie McElroy; Hunter, Leo, Abigail & Skylar Haines, Lilliana & Isabella Gitler, Emilia & Natalia Van Lare, and Paisley Melanson; her sister Florence Calabro.  She is predeceased by her parents, Felice & Mary Importe; her husband, Joseph Malerba; her brothers, Salvatore & Fredo Improte; and her sister Elizabeth Muzio
