Hidalgo, Christopher Christopher Hidalgo, age 95, passed away on January 24, 2017 in Sun City, AZ. He was born on December 21, 1921 in Brackettville, TX to John Hidalgo and Apolonia Pina. Chris received his masters degree in Education at ASU and not only was he an educator but he also served his country during WWII in the US Army, was a Maricopa County Deputy Sheriff Officer and a Civil Air Patrol Pilot. In later life he loved to visit and work in his brother's Arizona opal mine. Chris is survived by his children Janella, Christina, Mark, Carl and Lexie as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 beginning at 8:30 am with funeral service at 9:15 am both held at Sunland Mortuary, 15826 Del Webb Blvd, Sun City, AZ 85351. Internment will follow at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85024.
