Strosin, Chester A.Chester A. Strosin, 94, of the town of Bevent, died Monday March 27, 2017, at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King WI. Chester was born on July 7, 1922 in Rosholt. He was the son of the late Joseph and Susie (Kizewski) Strosin. He attended school in Rosholt. Chester was a WWII Veteran entering the United States Army on October 21, 1942 in Fort Sheridan Illinois. He served in Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe. He received the Victory Medal, European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with one Silver Battle Star, Four Overseas Service Bars, one Service Stripe and the Good Conduct Medal. He was honorably discharged on November 13, 1945. His marriage to Irene Omernik took place on January 3, 1946, in Manawa WI. Chester worked for A.O. Smith in Milwaukee, after retirement the couple moved to the town of Bevent. His wife Irene died on October 6, 2010. He was a member of the American Legion Nelson/Kaminski Post #509 Rosholt. He enjoyedCutting wood, gardening and flowers. Survivors include his sister; Genevieve Omernik of Rosholt. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Theresa Simonis and his brother Edward.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday March 30, 2017, at St. Adalbert Catholic Church Rosholt. Rev Jeffrey Hennes will officiate. Visitation on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the church. Burial with full military honors will follow in the parish cemetery.
