Cheryl Rae Cornwall Marble, 84, passed away at her home on Dec. 27, 2012, in Bothwell, Utah, surrounded by her children. She was born on June 16, 1928, in Tremonton, Utah, to Chauncey Miller Cornwall and Mae Gertrude Andreasen.She attended school at McKinley Elementary and then graduated from Bear River High School, where she was a head cheerleader, and furthered her education at Utah State University, where she was also elected to be a cheerleader. She was the Box Elder County Rodeo Queen in 1945 at age 17.Cheryl married Boyd Simmons Marble on June 4, 1948, in the Logan LDS Temple after his return home from the war. Together they had 6 children. She was a wonderful homemaker and a devoted wife and mother. Cheryl accomplished many things in this life; she and her husband Boyd received the poultry man of the year award, Andy Rytting Award and were the Box Elder County Fair Grand Marshalls. She loved gospel teaching, reading, writing poetry, embroidering, gardening, history keeping and interior decorating.She was a dance director, served as a Primary, Scouting and Cub Scouting Leader, Spiritual Living teacher, Relief Society President, Primary Stake Board in-service Leader, Temple Worker, Eradicating Dyers Woad Specialist and Ward Historian. Cheryl served a mission with her husband to Lagos, Nigeria, loved singing in the Ward Choir and visiting teaching. She was a secretary and treasurer for Chanshare Sod Farm and was Boyd's right-hand woman.Cheryl is preceded in death by her husband; a son, Brian; her parents; and a great-grandchild, Emma. She is survived by her children: Randy (Betty) Marble, Cherie (Mac) Munns, Gregory (Bettie) Marble, Dee (Kari) Marble, and Louise Curley; 26 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.The family would like to thank Intermountain Heath Care Hospice, other caregivers, Bothwell Ward Relief Society, Valley View Cemetery Board and all who have been so kind!Funeral Services will be held Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the Bothwell LDS Chapel (10350 W. 11600 North, Bothwell) with a viewing prior to services from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. There will also be a viewing Sunday, Dec. 30, at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 East, Tremonton) from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in the Valley View Cemetery.
