SWEET VALLEY — Charles H. Zerfoss, 81, of Sweet Valley, passed away Monday, Nov. 21, 2016, at the Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas.
Mr. Zerfoss was born on Sept. 10, 1935, in Nanticoke, and was the son of the late Guy and Lella (Wandell) Zerfoss.
Charles served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1960 and was employed as a welder for over 50 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Donald and Guy Jr.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, the former Merrie Lengel; daughters, Donna Patts and her husband, Bob, of Hanover Township, and Karen Rittenhouse and her husband, Arthur, of Sweet Valley; grandchildren, John III, Charles, Tammy and Katelin; three great-grandchildren.
At the family's request, there will be no funeral service or calling hours.
Arrangements are by the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the Meadows Nursing Center for the exceptional care they gave to Charles.
