Charles H. Brown, age 59, of Oscoda died on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Alpena Regional Medical Center. He was born on Sept. 11, 1953 in Flint to Leslie and Catherine Brown (nee Burd). Charles graduated from Flint Carmen Ainsworth High School and later worked as a truck driver for many years. He moved to Oscoda from Perry six years ago. Charles enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, traveling and riding Harley's. He was an accomplished football coach having led his teams to several championships and was also a golden gloves boxing coach. Charles is survived by his wife, Sandy; whom he married in Flint on Oct. 22, 1977. He is also survived by three sons, Corey (Hope) Brown of Laingsburg, Les (Andrea) Brown of Perry and Andrew (fiance' Serena Bailey) Brown of Perry; parents, Leslie and Catherine Brown of Grand Blanc; four grandchildren, Keegan, Kaitlynn, Leaha and Raynebow; four sisters, Pam (Clyde) Cunningham of Vassar, Sue (Kirk) Alderson of Linden, Sally Johnson of Littleton, Colo. and Beth (Rich) Schempp of Saginaw. He was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Burke. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 14 at 2 p.m. at Oscoda Baptist Church.
