Charles G. Thrasher was known and loved by many. Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio Charles accepted Christ at an early age and didn't mind sharing His word to any and everyone he met. Charles was an outgoing man, but his passion was fishing. He even named his rod "The Catcher" and would brag that once The Catcher hit the water, no fish was safe.
Charles was a loving father to both his children, but didn't mind telling you that his daughter Kirae, was his most prized possession and that from the day she was born he didn't leave her finger, on which he was wrapped around. He shared a very special bond with his namesake, his son Charles, who he called his "lifetime buddy." He made sure that his children were the first people he talked to in the morning and the last he talked to at night. Charles fought a good fight until the very end when he lost the battle to cancer on August 29, 2016.
Charles leaves to mourn his death: wife, Ima Jean McKnight, two brothers, eights sisters and two children, Charles II (Sandra),and Kirae (Keith). Charles worked for 40 years and was a loved and faithful employee at Samuel Steel Pickling, where he will be truly missed by his co-workers who had become his extended family.
His legacy will be carried on by four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He will be remember by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
