Charles Edward Williams POST-Memorial services for Charles Edward Williams, 85, of Post will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church. Charles died on Jan. 27, 2017, in Lubbock. He was born on Oct. 31, 1931, in Post to Charlie and Henrietta Williams. Charles married Ruby Montgomery on Nov. 25, 1958. He served in the U.S. Marines, worked as Water Superintendent for City of Post, and worked for George R. Brown, retiring after 32 years. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Ruby of Post; one sister, Mary Jo Evans of Austin; two daughters, Charla Miller and husband, Guin, Channa Jones and husband, Greg, all of Lubbock; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Charles was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Marvin and Kenneth Williams. The family requests memorials to be made to Post First United Methodist and Casa of the South Plains.
