Charles L. BurkhartMANSFIELD: Charles L. Burkhart, age 82 of Mansfield, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at his home.Chuck was born on May 7, 1934, in Mansfield, Ohio, the son of James and Edna Burkhart. He attended Mansfield Senior High School and graduated in the class of 1953. He attended Michigan State University. Chuck was a loving, devoted husband who enjoyed the oceans of the Florida Keys. A Past President of the homebuilders association, he prided himself in creating blueprints to build many custom homes in the area. Chuck also served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Chuck is survived by his caring wife, Donnie (Deyarmon) Burkhart; and granddaughter, Thunder Burkhart. Chuck is preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Edna and his son, Brad Burkhart.A gathering will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 South Diamond Street, Mansfield. Inurnment to join his family at their family gravesite will be held on June 1, 2017, at Mansfield Memorial Park in honor of Chuck and Donnie's 61st wedding anniversary.
