Catherine M. Stern1958 - 2014Catherine M. Mom Stern, 55, of Kenosha, passed away Monday, Jan. 13, 2014, at Kenosha Hospital.She was born on Sept. 10, 1958, to the late Roy and Helen (Hoey) Stern in Kenosha. She was educated in the schools of Kenosha.Cathy entered the U.S. Army on Sept. 28, 1976, and was a PFC. Cathy was honorably discharged on Sept. 12, 1978. She also served in the Army Reserves.Cathy worked at AMC/Chrysler for over 20 years, retiring in 2011.She was a member of the UAW Local #75.Cathy enjoyed collecting Coca Cola memorabilia, spending time with family and playing with her grandchildren. Many lovingly called Cathy Mom.Her daughter, Crystal Stern and her, son Roy Newman both of Kenosha; her grandchildren, Allyson and Joe Newman and her brothers, Rick Stern of Kenosha, Randy Stern of Belvidere, Ill., and John Stern of Sayner, Wis., survive Cathy.Her brother Roy Stern precedes her in death.Funeral services for Cathy will be held on Saturday, Jan. 25, at 12 (noon) at the Bruch Funeral Home. Full Military Honors will follow. Visitation will be held on Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
