Catherine H. Peterson Rogers, 88, Loretto, passed away Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016 at her residence. She was born on June 19, 1928 in Loretto. She was a homemaker and former employee of the old Cowden Sewing Factory in Lebanon and Nukote in Bardstown. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Paul Rogers; her parents, John C. and Ursula Buckler Peterson; three sisters, Nell Brahm, Betty Hupman, and an infant Ursula Peterson; three brothers, Cary, Jimmy and Bill Peterson; and one grandson, Matthew Cowan.Survivors include: five daughters, Paula Blanford of Bardstown, Mary Jane Warren of Calvary, Rita Rust (Dennis) of Springfield, Karen Hayes (Wayne) and Lisa Brown (Bobby) all of Lebanon; four sons, Kenny Rogers (Prudence) of Bardstown, Vincent Rogers (Betty Jo) of Campbellsville, Frank Rogers (Anna) of Loretto and Joe Rogers of Cox's Creek; 26 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; one sister, Geraldine Peterson of Abingdon, Virginia; four brothers, Rev. Harry Peterson of Santiago, Chile, Rev. George Peterson of Curico, Chile, Bobby Peterson of New Haven, and Rev. Gerald Peterson of Cincinnati, Ohio; and one sister-in-law, Mary Francis Peterson of Campbellsville.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6785 Highway 52, Saint Francis, with burial in Lebanon National Cemetery. Revs. Gerald Peterson and Bryan T.
