Carol Jean (Waits) LeistLANCASTER: Carol Jean (Waits) Leist 83 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at McCafferty's Adult Care Facility in Pleasantville, Ohio. She was born on February 4, 1933 to the late Claude and Dana Waits in Lancaster, Ohio.She was a Lancaster High School graduate Class of 1951. She was a retired public employee where she worked for the Fairfield County Clerk of Courts for many years and prior to that she worked at James Motors car dealership and Diamond Power. Carol enjoyed playing card games like cribbage and euchre and was especially good at them, you considered yourself lucky when you would win. She loved her family, her dogs, site seeing historic landmarks, family trips to Cedar Point, Port Clinton, and trips to the casinos in Wheeling.Carol is survived by her sons, Robert A. Hudson of Vista, CA, William S. Hudson of Lancaster, Ohio and Lawrence (Sherry) Hudson of Ouray, CO; step-daughter, Linda (Robert) Knotts; granddaughter, Melissa (Scott) Campbell of Lancaster, Ohio; grandson, Anthony (Jacinda) Hudson of Grand Junction, CO; granddaughter, Dana Hudson-Osborn of Delta, CO and eight great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jacquelyn (Hudson) Graham, husbands, Robert Hudson and Robert Leist, sister, Margaret (Waits) Poston, brother, Jerry Waits and her parents, Claude and Dana Waits.She was loved dearly by those who knew her and will be greatly missed. A special thank you goes to McCafferty's Adult Care Facility in Pleasantville, Ohio who took care of her in her last years.
