Carol B. HeckerWHITE COTTAGE: Carol B. Hecker, 82, of White Cottage, passed away at 6:00 p.m. Monday August 1, 2016 at Genesis Hospital. She was born on September 8, 1933 in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Roger and Maude Cronin. She retired after 33 years of teaching in the Maysville School District. She was a graduate of Ohio University, member of Rolling Plains United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women's Group, C.C.L., and a former member of the Newton Township Volunteer Fire Department.She is survived by her children Don (Sally) Hecker, Cathy Longwell, Steve Hecker (Lisa Smith), and Bobbi (Tony) Sheck. Grandchildren Lejay Colborn, Donnie Longwell, Rikki Grace, Jessica Hecker, Katie, Ali, and Jared Sheck. Great-grandchildren Hunter Longwell, Will, Eva, and Lily Grace. Brother Don (Chris) Cronin. Brother-in-law Ray (Betty) Hecker. Sister-in-law Dorothy Edwards. Numerous nieces and nephews that she loved as her own and Carlos Wilbart Kitty. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert (Bob) Hecker.Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thur.
