Carlene Frady Clampitt Carlene Frady Clampitt, 89, widow of Earl Brown Clampitt, of Beaufort, SC passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Beaufort Memorial Hospital. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 from 5 to 7 pm at Anderson Funeral Home. A graveside Service will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 1 pm at Beaufort Memorial Gardens. Carlene was born on June 18, 1926 in Clayton, GA to the late Carlis Frady and Veronique York Frady. She worked as a retail sales manager at Smart and Thrifty and Mickey's Bootery in downtown Beaufort for years. After retirement she and Earl enjoyed sailing the east coast waterways. She is survived by four sons, James Earl Clampitt, Larry Earl Clampitt, Harry Earl Clampitt and Charles Earl Clampitt; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Barbara McNamara and Edna Anderson and 1 granddaughter, Ruth Ellis . In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to a charity of one's choice. Anderson Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family.
