Camelia A. StuckeyCamelia A. Stuckey, 79, of Kenosha, died on Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at the Hospice House, Pleasant Prairie.Camelia was born on Feb. 19, 1934, in Mt. Zion, Wis., a daughter of the late Lawrence and Iola (Pugh) Rosenbaum. She attended the one room school house in Seneca; graduated from Seneca High School and K.T.I School of Nursing.On June 14, 1952, in Kenosha at St. James Catholic Church, she was united in marriage to Elmer L. Stuckey. They were blessed with 45 years of marriage; four children, and three grandchildren before Elmer preceded her in death on May 7, 1998.The Stuckeys have been longtime members of St. Mary Catholic Church. For 33 years, Camelia was employed at St. Catherines Hospital as a nurse primarily working on 2 South. She was a very active member of the
VFW Post #1865 Auxiliary where she held the office of president. She also served as auxiliary senior vice president, VFW District # 1; currently was the chairman of the Jr. Girls Auxilary and president of the Military Order of the Cooties. Camelia was also a member of the Kenosha
Women of the Moose #155, Red Hatters and also an active member of RSVP. Camelia is survived by her four loving children, Robert (Barbara) Stuckey, Diann (Rich) Root, Edwin (Tricia) Stuckey and Barbara (Gary) Christensen; her special grandsons, Kevin and Paul Stuckey and Blake Root; her siblings, Agnes Wilcox, Mary (Andrew) Dejno, Joan (Henry) Van Swol, Joyce (Jerry) Jacob, Neil Rosenbaum, and her sister-in-law, Betty Rosenbaum.Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Rodney Rosenbaum.Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 17, 2013, beginning with a prayer service at 9:15 a.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 7400-39th Ave. Entombment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum. A visitation for Camelia will be held on Sunday, June 16, 2013, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home. VFW Post 1865 Auxiliary will conduct services at 5 p.m. Memorials to Hospice Alliance, 10220 Prairie Ridge Blvd., Pleasant Prairie, WI 53158, would be appreciated by the family.
