BRUCE ALVIN YENNEY, 78 STOCKTON - Bruce Alvin Yenney, 78, of Stockton, died on May 11, 2014 at his home, surrounded by family and special friend at his bedside. Bruce was born on March 19, 1936 in Jo Daviess County, the son of late Wilma (Nadig) Pieper and the late William Yenney. He was raised on his grandparent's farm in Woodbine, IL (the late Wilbur and Faye Nadig). He entered the Marine Corp from 1953 to 1955, he served in Korea. Bruce was a truck driver for 45 years and a private pilot. He was a member of the VFW. Mr. Yenney is survived by special friend, Pat Dyson of Freeport, IL; special grandson, Matt Daves of Stockton; seven sisters, Dixie (Jack) Beyer, Diane (James) Burris, Jan Pieper, Cheri (Russ) Stich, all of Stockton, Judy (John) McAuliffe of Benton, WI, Vicki (Tim) Aden of Freeport, IL, Donna (Dave) Ratzloff of Rockford, IL; a brother, Dennis (Joleen) Pieper of Lena, IL; and many nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by his family. Mr. Yenney was preceded in death by his brothers, Gerald Yenny, Chuck, Gary, and Rodney Pieper, and special friend Maxine Neels. A military funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2014 at the Bartell-Leamon Funeral Home in Warren, IL. A visitation will be held from 12 to 2 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. Pastor Brenda Morris will officiate the service. Burial will be at the Morrisville Cemetery. A luncheon will follow the services at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Stockton, IL. A memorial has been established in Bruce's name for FHN Hospice and Steve Rowe, a special friend and neighbor fighting cancer.
