POOLE, Bridget Gertrude (née Quinn) Bridget Gertrude Poole (née Quinn), of Edmonton, Alberta, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the age of 83.Bridget was born on May 25, 1933 in St. Brides, AB to parents Bernard and Ellen Quinn of Ardboe, Ireland. She grew up in a small farming community as one of ten children and attended school in both St. Brides and St. Paul, AB. She attended nursing school in Edmonton at the Edmonton General Hospital, graduating as an RNA and working in hospitals in the Edmonton area until she retired in 1996. Bridget married her sweetheart Calvin (Kelly) Fraser Poole on May 14, 1960, and they had four children. Bridget was loved and will be dearly missed by her four children, Karen (Enrico), Darren (Linda), Sharon (Mel) and Gary and her six grandchildren, Kory, Michelle, Samantha, Keely, Kennedy and Zenon, who were the loves of her life.Bridget was predeceased by her husband Calvin, parents Bernard and Ellen, siblings Mary Florence, Dominic, Mark, John, Lucy and Mary. She is survived by her sisters Vera (Calgary), Ann and Clare (Edmonton).ObiCare Unit at the Edmonton General Continuing Care Centre.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 27, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Dominic Savio Parish (14406-62 Street Edmonton, AB) with Rev. Joseph Vadassery officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the EGH 9Y (Edmonton General Hospice).
