Brenda Louise Brown was born in Kansas City, Ks on March 5, 1962 to Donald and Mary(Hutchinson) Messick.  She passed away at home peacefully in her sleep after a short battle with lung cancer on May 24, 2019 at the age of 57.

She was united in marriage to Richard Allen Brown on June 12, 1982 in Kansas City, Ks.  She has been a devoted wife and mother for the last 36 years and the most awesome Memaw to her grandkids. 

She is survived by her husband Richard Brown of Fordland, Mo; Daughters Natasha(Jeramy) Hawkins of Ozark, Mo, Elizabeth(Moe) Sanders, of Wesley, AR, and Lena Brown of Springfield, Mo; her three grandchildren which were her pride and joy Emma Mae Hawkins, Noah Allen Hawkins, and Bella Marie McFadden.  She is also survived by her brother Jim Messick of Kansas City, Ks and sisters Patty(Joe) Kiaaina of Bellevue, Ne and Becky Shannon of Kansas City, KS and many nieces and nephews of which she loved dearly.

She was welcomed home to heaven by her grandparents, parents, and two brothers Ronnie Messick and Donnie Messick.

Brenda worked for many years as a CNA and she had a passion to take care of people, no matter if it was at work or at home. She was the best wife and momma that anyone could ever ask for and a even better Memaw who loved to spoil her babies.  Her caring and wonderful personality always shined thru all the way up to the very end.  She loved to make those around her smile and had a inner strength that most could only dream of having.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, sewing, crochet, putting puzzles together, collecting bears, and taking care of what ever animals that her and dad had at that time. 

Visitation for Brenda will be held at Holden Cremation and Funeral Service In Sparta, Mo on Thurday, May 30th from 6-8pm and a Family lead burial service will be held at Panther Valley Cemetry Fordland, Mo on Friday, May 31st at 10am. 

We would like to give thanks to all of the wonderful staff that cared for Brenda during her stay at Mercy, especially the staff on 4C and also the wonderful staff from Integrity Hospice.  All of the care and help that you provided to our family helped to keep momma home during her last days.
