Greatens, Brandon B.Brandon Bentley Greatens, 19, of Beaver Dam, went to his heavenly home unexpectedly on Monday, March 13, 2017. He was born on July 13, 1997 in Milwaukee, WI to Jay and Jessica (Wagner) Greatens.Brandon graduated in 2016 from Beaver Dam High School. He was involved in many activities throughout his high school years including wrestling, football, track, SWAZZ, and choir. He enjoyed his history and science courses. He was employed at Jimmy John's in Beaver Dam after a brief time at Bemidji State University. He enjoyed online gaming and spending time with friends. He appreciate all kinds of music and had a special interest in montage that allowed him to piece together music to gaming events.Brandon's friends were important to him. He went at great length to support them when needed. They saw him as a kind, gentle, sensitive and giving person. To his family, he was our "Bubs", our gentle giant, kind, strong, and patient whose faith was demonstrated many times.He will be deeply missed by his parents, Jay and Jessica Greatens; his brothers, Gavin and Micahjay and sister, Abigail Greatens; grandparents Bonnie and Max Wagner and Marlene and Joseph Greatens; many aunts and uncles including Jeff Wagner, Jennifer and Darren Manty, Joslyn and Jim Wolf, Julie and Brien Yost, Jody Laehn, Jeff Greatens, Jon and Tami Greatens and Joe Greatens; and many cousins: Jordan, Josiah, Jackson and Jillian Wolf; Brett, Jenna, Zachary, Jared and Janna Yost; Taylor, Spencer and Connor Laehn; Jacob and Josh Greatens. He will also be missed by many friends from school and his work place and special family friends, Jacquie, Ryan, Ashley and Brayden Schott.Although we all grieve his passing, we find solace in knowing that he is with the Lord Jesus and that we will see him soon. Those loved ones with him now are great-grandparents Helen and Bentley Halverson, Emma and Oscar Wagner and his great aunt Sharon King and great uncle Glen King and many other extended family. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 19th at 3:00 p.m. at Edgewood Community Church in Waupun, with Pastor Mike Giebink officiating. A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, March 19th from 1:30-3:00 p.m. at Edgewood Community Church.In lieu of flowers, all donations will be given to the Beaver Dam High School music program in appreciation for the many years of wonderful performances, Edgewood Church Youth Ministry and to Anchor Christian Counseling.
