A beloved mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend, Brandi Ann Brown-Knox, of Seattle, Washington, formerly of Tacoma, Washington, entered into eternal rest, at the age of 37, on June 3, 2020 at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Washington from complications of diabetes following a long and courageous battle.

She was born in South Bend, Indiana on September 22, 1982 to Gregory Brown-Knox and Yvonne Riles-Kincaid. 

Brandi grew up in a military family and relocated to Fort Lewis, Washington (JBLM) in 1995. In 2001, she graduated from Lakes High School in Lakewood, Washington. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Customer Service Representative before her medical complications prevented her from doing so. She was also a twenty-two-year cancer survivor. She is no longer suffering but is walking with our Lord hand in hand.

She will be lovingly remembered by her two sons, Bryce and Braxton Carruthers of Seattle, WA; father: Gregory Brown-Knox of Burien, WA; mother: Yvonne Riles-Kincaid of Chicago, IL; sister: Shawntalina McMillan and Tia Faulkner of Tacoma, WA; brothers-in-law: Janardo McMillan and Troy Hetherington of Tacoma, WA; aunts: Barbara Thompkins and Kay Brown-Smith of Milwaukee, WI; Gwendolyn Shaw of Frisco, TX; Margo (Vernon) Johnson of Springfield, IL; Patricia A. Riles and Pamela Riles-Hershberger (Donald) of South Bend, IN; uncles: Jeffery Brown, Kenneth Riles, Sr. and Michael Riles of South Bend, IN; Theodore Knox of Terre Haute, IN; niece: Kiara McMillan of Tacoma, WA; nephew: Keondre McMillan and Jayden Faulkner of Tacoma, WA; along with numerous of aunts, uncles, cousins, and loving friends.

Brandi was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Lawrence Riles Sr. of South Bend, IN and Samuel Knox of Terre Haute, IN; grandmothers: Bernice Grove-Riles and Willa Mae Brown of South Bend, IN; a very special cousin: Alex (Phil) Dozier of Dallas, TX, Kenneth (Duke) Riles, Jr.; Orlene (Lynn) Riles and Tremaine Riles of South Bend, IN.

Anyone who knew Brandi, knew that she had an immense passion for hosting get-to-togethers, baking, cooking and laughing with her family and friends. She always wanted to make sure, if anyone was hungry, they could be fed. She will be immensely missed and forever remembered by her family and friends. Gone from our sight but never from our hearts.
