Burke, Bonnie Fields,76, passed away with grace and dignity on September 8, 2017 in the comfort of her home following a brave battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Lura Fields; six siblings; and the love of her life, Roger. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Gruber, and two grandchildren, Keegan and Devin. Bonnie was born on 2/8/41 in Ashland, KY and raised in Catlettsburg. She attended EKU followed by a career as a first-grade teacher. She was an active member of Christ Church United Methodist, an avid reader, a huge UK basketball fan and was and an extraordinary grandmother. She would like to thank her church family and Dr. Huber for their care and kindness in her final days. Bonnie's visitation will be held on Saturday, 9/16 from 2-4 in the Christ Church parlor, 4614 Brownsboro Road, immediately followed by an ash scattering service in the church memorial garden.
