In Loving Memory

Bobbie (Bob) Trent Haley, age 78, son of Benjamin Denton & Bessie Pauline Haley was born April 1, 1941 in Jasper, Texas.

He passed away in his home On January 14, 2020.

Bob is preceded in death by his paretns, one sister, Mary Louise Schroeder, and four brothers, Don Welch, A.C Haley, Hugh Robert Haley, and Charles Haley. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Cindy of Houston, MO; one daughter, Deborah Liput of Houston, Texas; two sons, Tony Fell of Ft. Collins, Colorado and Robert Haley of Boise, Idaho. Bob was "PA" to his grandsons, Zachary Liput, Brandon Haley, and Bryan Haley.

Bob served in the U.S. Army, leased his truck pulling mobile homes across the country, was a police officer and a sheriff deputy in Vidor/Orange County, Texas, worked security for Woodmoor Corp. in Golden, CO and was a City Marshall in Platteville, CO. He and his wifes business ventures included training drivers from a terminal in their home and operating a recreation center for teens. He was most proud of his law enforcement career and had he not been disabled while on duty, would have continued. Bob took up woodworking and sought to spread his love of Christ through his unique creations of crosses.

Bob was a faithful member of the United Methodist Church, both in Colorado where he and Cindy married in 1974 and after moving to Houston in 1982. he felt it an honor to be able to partake of communion with his Lord.

Bob served as a City alderman from 1988-1992, worked 10 years at OK Tire, became a member of the Texas Masonic Lodge #177 and enjoyed being a Salvation Army bell ringer. He never miss celebrating an anniversary, birthday or any other special occasion. He was sentimental, with a warm, generous heart. Simple joys, like watching the Christmas parade made him happy. Bob was born an "April Fool" and took advantage of that every day of his life!
