Bleeka Knox MillerKnoxville, TNBleeka Knox Miller, age 104 of Knoxville, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2017, after a brief illness. Bleeka was born on June 10, 1913 to Arley and Melissa Barker Knox in Etowah, Tennessee. She was raised by her maternal grandparents Arthur Richard and Mary Elenor Hill Barker. She married Claude Russell Miller on December 16, 1928 and together they raised 4 children, Dr. Claude Russell Miller Jr. (Barbara Rutledge), Barbara Miller Ayers (John F.), Rev. Richard Everett Miller (Betty Jane Alcorn), and Rebecca Miller Howard (Benjamin S). She was preceded in death by parents, grandparents, son Claude Russell Jr., and dearly loved husband of 65 years, Claude. She is survived by her children Barbara, Richard, and Rebecca, her grandchildren James Russell Miller (Lauraine), Walter Richard Miller (Louise), William Everett Miller, Ann Rutledge Miller, Sharon Ayers Barber (Joseph), Stephanie Ayers Gillespie (Bill), John Floyd Ayers III (Linda), Mary Miller Orloff, Jan Miller Orloff (Steve), Richard Everett Miller, Jr. (Jaime), Susan Howard Willis (James), and Peter Benjamin Howard (Virginia). Her great-grandchildren are Russell Miller (Meredith), Michael Miller (Carrie), Brant Miller, Andrew Miller, Hannah Miller, Zachary Miller, Clair Miller, Sarah Miller, Samuel Miller, Cameron Hoffman Yates, Lauren Hoffman Johnson (Travis), Adam Barber (Stefanie), Chelsea Cook McGinnis (Walt), Christian Ayers (Rebecca), Rachel Ayers, Krista Orloff Thomas, Matthew Orloff, Jonathan Orloff, Andrew Orloff, Phillip Orloff (Megan), Adam Orloff, Melissa Marie Willis, Benjamin Knox Howard, and Nicolas Everett Howard. Her great-great grandchildren are Indigo Eve Miller, Scarlet Sky Miller, Hunter Joseph Thomas, Grace Ruchella Miller, Gage Crosland, Maddox Shiel, Houston Scott Johnson, and Beckett Ray Johnson.Bleeka spent many years as a Sunday school and Bible study teacher where she and Claude worshipped. She founded the Evangel Book shop in Fountain City as a needed source for Christian literature. She was active in Child Evangelism and supported her children in World Vision and Partners International to the end. She was a member of Christ Covenant Presbyterian Church where the members visited her regularly in her Morning Pointe Apartment. The family extends many thanks to the Morning Pointe Assisted Living Family who became her dear friends. Receiving of friends will be held 2 to 4 Sunday, July 16, at Click Funeral Home, 11915 Kingston Pike in Farragut with a service at 4:00 with her son Rev.
