Billy Carl GoonenBilly Carl Goonen, 55, of Lafayette, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.  Billy was born on May 25, 1961 in Lafayette to the late Joseph Henry III and Betty (Armes) Goonen.  Billy married Debra L. (Jackson) Cornelius on May 25, 1993 in Lafayette, and she survives.  He worked as a Palletizer at Ice Cream Specialties.  Billy loved fishing, playing pool, watching football, and was an avid Chicago Bears fan.Surviving along with his wife, Debra Goonen, is one step-son, Woodie "Kid" Cornelius (wife: Kelli) OF Bonny Lake, WA, and one step-daughter, Sarah Campos of Seattle, WA.  Also surviving, are 3 siblings, Allen (wife: Susan) Goonen of Lafayette, Ronald Goonen of Lafayette, Deborah Goonen of Lafayette, 3 step-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog, Snickers at home. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior at Simplicity Funeral Care with Rev.
