ANGOLA — Beverly J. "Bev" Lower, 77, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2015, at Cameron Memorial Community Hospital, Angola. She was born on October 3, 1937, in Garrett, Indiana. She married Henry "Hank" Lower on June 18, 1955. Bev retired from EMF Corp. after 21 years. She had also been a beautician for 7 years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed Sprint Car racing, NASCAR, reading books and IU Basketball. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. She was a member of the Angola Christian Church. Surviving are her husband Henry "Hank" Lower of Angola; son, Jeffery and Janice Lower of Gary; daughter, Krista Kelley of Cornelius, North Carolina; three sisters, Marilyn Nelson of Butler, Marty and Bud Mowry of Angola and Lois Douglas of Angola; five grandchildren, April (Christopher) Milliman, Jerry (Jamie) Kelley, Tracey Lower, Jamie (Dale) Lower and Leslie (Adam Melson) Lower; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary D. Hills Beebe Shatto; her stepfather, Guy Shatto; and two brothers, Ronald Beebe and Gerald Beebe. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, January 12, 2015, at the Weicht Funeral Home, Angola, with Pastor Jim Hulbert and John Coney, minister, officiating. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, January 11, 2015, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Flint Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana.
