Becker, BeverlyBeverly Jean Becker, age 90, of Wisconsin Rapids passed away on November 25, 2016 at Cranberry Court Assisted Living Facility in Wisconsin Rapids. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Pastor Mary Lou Plummer will officiate. Interment will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial visitation will take place on Tuesday, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services at the funeral home. She married Robert Becker on September 30, 1950. Robert preceded her in death. She is survived by her son, Mark (Joan) of Wausau, Wisconsin. Beverly was a long time resident of Wisconsin Rapids. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1944. She attended Saint Agnes School of Nursing in Fond du Lac and graduated in 1947. Beverly was employed as a registered nurse at Riverview Hospital for nine years and at Riverview Manor for twenty-one years. Beverly's passion in life was animals, both her household pets and the birds and squirrels in her neighborhood which she fed on a daily basis until her death. She enjoyed a variety of creative pursuits. In retirement she participated in painting classes at the Senior Center and gifted many friends and family members with crocheted afghans. She also loved to bake, particularly Christmas cookies. Family, friends, neighbors along with the squirrels anticipated the annual treats. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the South Wood County Humane Society.
