Bettye Jane DelageAge: 88 • WinooskiBettye Jane Delage, 88, passed away on February 4, 2017 at Starr Farm Nursing Home. She was born on April 7, 1928 in Chichamuga, GA to the late Leo and Mattie (King) Hollingsworth. She married the love of her life Jean M Delage on November 26, 1975 in Winooski. She worked for many years at the Marmade Hoisery Co in Chattanooga, TN. She was a member of the Winooski Senoirs and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She loved going to Maine and spending time at the lighthouses and beaches.Bettye is survived by her children JoAnn Rondeau, Ernest Delage and Nancy Japhet, Theresa and Ernest Mead, Leonard and Ann Delage, and Cecile and David Lawrence; grandchildren; Tracy and husband Rick Fisher, Shannon Crowley, Craig and wife Lisa Hayford, Matthew and Kelly Crowley, and Amy and husband Shaun Batho, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was predeceased by her daughter Judith Lynn Crowley, and her brothers and sisters.The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff at Starr Farm for all their amazing kindness and care.Funeral services will be held on Saturday February 11 at 4:00pm at the LaVigne Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 132 Main St. in Winooski.
