KENOSHA - Betty M. Benson-Held, age 74 formerly of Racine, late of Kenosha, died Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Sheridan Medical Complex in Kenosha. Betty was born on February 9, 1940 to the late Nels and Edna (Vinz) Jensen in Somers, WI. She was educated in the schools of Kenosha County. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. Betty was a home health care provider for the developmentally disabled. Betty is survived by her sons: Rick (Marla) Benson of TX, Steve Benson of TN, John (Cindy) Benson of NJ, Bob (Karen) Benson of WI and Tim (Becky) Benson of TN. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She is further survived by three sisters: DeDe Eisenman, Carol Varvil, and Karen (Roland) Martin, all of WI. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bob Held, son Michael, grandson Michael, two brothers Buddy Wagner and Robert Jensen, and 4 sisters: Doris Krause, Dellorra Benson, Ruthie Braun and Dorothy Coyner. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday October 8, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Sturtevant. (8500 Durand Avenue) Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday at the church from 12:00 noon until the time of services. Burial will follow at the Union Grove Cemetery.
