Martin, Betty LouGOD GAINED ANOTHER ANGEL TODAY!Betty Lou Martin age 92 passed away on February 15, 2017 at her daughter's home in Edgar, WI under the care of Central Hospice-Marshfield.A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 25, 2017 at St Andrew's Catholic Church, Rozellville with Fr. Sengole Vethamanickam officiating. Visitation of family and friends will be on Saturday February 25, 2017 from 9:00 AM until time of service. Burial will be at St. Andrew's Parish Cemetery. Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home is assisting the family.Betty was born on March 13, 1924 in Stratford, WI to Frank and Ellen (Bean) Wix. She was united in marriage to Joseph (Sep) Martin on August 21, 1947. He preceded her in death on November 1, 1990. She was a World War II Veteran serving in the U.S. Army Air force from 1944 to 1946. She was honorably discharged as Private First Class. Through the years she worked at Weinbrener Shoe Factory and Roddis Plywood. In 1964 Betty and Joe (Sep) became the owners of Sep's Beer Bar until 1978. Betty became known as "Ma Sep" by everyone. After selling the bar they retired to Maryel division near Stratford. After her husband died she moved in with her daughter Betsy and family until the time of her death.Her hobbies included crocheting, going to bingo, gambling, reading, fishing, watching the Packers, Brewers, Badgers and definitely watching Wheel of Fortune. Her most treasured moments were spending time with her family.She is survived by her four daughters Sue (Rick) Schroeder, Edgar, WI. Sadie (Ron) Kurth, Wausau, WI. Penny (JR) Bores, Stratford, WI. Betsy (John) Kurtzweil, Edgar, WI and one son Joe (Happy) Martin, Edgar, WI. 13 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Other survivors include sister-in-law Alice (Gib) Brown and Elaine (Bill) Wix. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Joseph, her parents, her great grandson Treyden, and her sisters Norma and Carmen, her brothers Murray, Bill, Gordon and Frank. Also her best friend of 70 years Laverne (Mutze) Fahey.Family would like to give a special thank you to Ministry Hospice Home Care and Doctor Khamo-Soskos.In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Betty's name to The Highground in Neillsville, WI and Treyden's Cabin at Marshfield Clinic.Online condolences may be made at
