On Monday August 31st the Land family lost their beloved mother Betty Land. Betty land was born on 02/14/1934 and passed 08/31/2020. Betty, was a very hard working woman. The mother of 9 and grandmother of 32, worked two and three jobs at a time to provide for her family when her late husband Pete Land passed away of a heartattack. Her children even remember her going to pick cotton when money was very tight. Her grandchildren describe her as a strict but warm loving grandmother who could \"throw down\" in the kitchen. She left behind her children, Judy, Mary, Caroline, Franklin, Linzell, Betty, Sandra, Maie and Fredrick. She left behind 32 grandchildren and great grandchildren. She raised three of her grandchildren Steven, Stephanie and Madison, as her own. Betty Land volunteered at Mount Aurborn church two days a week. As well as taught Sunday school for 20 years. She was dianosed with stage 4 Ductal carcinoma otherwise known as breast cancer. She was also recently dianosed with Covid-19 although examiners have not determined the exact cause of death.
