Bertha A. Valdez beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister went to be with the Lord on October 20, 2016. Bertha A. Valdez passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2016 in Alamogordo, N.M. She was born on August 24, to Caraco and Soledad Balderrama in Cloudcroft, N.M.Survivors include her husband Irvin R. Valdez of 55 years; two sons Christopher R. Valdez and Loren B. Gallerito; three daughters Maria T. Valdez, Sylvia Baca, Veronica L. Baca of Tularosa; two brothers Nacho Balderrama of Cloudcroft, N.M., Johnny Balderrama of Boles Acres; two sisters Carmen Estrada and Angie Gallegos of Alamogordo, N.M. She had numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her daughter, Edith Ann Valdez her parents Caraco and Soledad Balderrama, her brothers Raymond, Bobby, Cruz and Joe.The Rosary will be recited by Steve and Liz Chavez at 9:30 a.m. on November 3, 2016. with Mass following at 10:00 a.m., by father Alex at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church. Burial following services at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
