Vogel, Bernard (Ben/Bernie)Bernard (Ben/Bernie) Vogel, age 81, of 3105 Gass Lake Road, Manitowoc, died Sunday, October 22, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay.He was born on November 13, 1935 in Whitelaw, son of the late Bernard & Ida (Zipperer) Vogel. Bernie was a graduate of Valders High School, Class of 1955. He was a Veteran of the United States
Army serving from 1956 until 1960. On June 17, 1961 he married the former Shirley Flegle at Holy Martyrs of Gorcum in Green Bay. Bernie was a production supervisor at Mirro Company in Manitowoc, retiring in 1997. He had a passion for helping others, including small engine/tractor repair, lawn care and general maintenance. He loved to socialize at his card club and his favorite local restaurants where he was always quick with a joke. He was an amazingly talented musician with the ability to play multiple instruments and was a member of the Manitowoc, Sheboygan and Green Bay accordion clubs. Bernie was especially proud of his children and grandchildren. Survivors include his wife: Shirley Vogel, Manitowoc; one daughter and son-in-law: Tina & Cullen Peltier of DePere and their children: Jack, Ben & Riley Peltier; one son: Bryan Vogel and his fiancee Dawn Dessart of Manitowoc and her daughters: Megken & Kaelle Hoeppner; one sister and two brothers-in-law: Delores & Glenn Cisler, Manitowoc, Russell Revenew, Indiana; and one brother and two sisters-in-law: James & Bette Vogel, Manitowoc, and Georgiana Witt, Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was also preceded in death by two sisters and one brother-in-law: Bernice & Kenneth Swette, Florence Revenew; two brothers: Harold & Paul Vogel; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law: George & Arlene Flegle.Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 27, 2017 at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo (1121 N. 14th St.) Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Richard Klingeisen with entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth. Military Rites will be accorded by
