Lynch, Benjamin P. "Tex"Benjamin P. "Tex" Lynch, 33, a kind and gentle soul, died unexpectedly in Brooklyn, NY. He was born on September 3, 1983, in Milwaukee, WI to Patrick and Paula (Kobriger) Lynch.Ben lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma from 1987 to 1998. He was a graduate of Monte Cassino School in Tulsa, then moved to Green Bay in 1998 where he became "Tex." He graduated from Notre Dame Academy in 2002, then continued his education at UW-Madison where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communication Arts and a Masters of Physician Assistant Studies, both with honors.Ben was a gifted athlete. He played soccer and basketball, and ran cross country and track. It was as a track and field athlete in which he excelled. As a senior, he was a key member of the 4x400 meter relay team that set the Wisconsin state record and helped propel Notre Dame Academy to the state championship.Ben loved dancing, reading (especially comic books), and listening to all genres of music, particularly David Bowie, the girl groups of the 1960's and DJ Shadow. He enjoyed living in Tulsa. Some of his favorite activities there included hiking in Mohawk Park, rock climbing in Chandler Park, and playing tag in Woodward Park. He was a gifted visual artist and photographer, and took many photos around New York City. Ben had a passion for film; he had a beautiful tattoo of the fountain scene from La Dolce Vita. Ben loved his cat, P-Nut. His laugh was contagious, and he gave great hugs. Ben is survived by his parents, Patrick and Paula Lynch, Green Bay; his brother and best friend, Johnny; grandparents, Dr. Kip and Rita Kobriger, John T. and Marilyn Lynch; aunts and uncles, Maureen and Dan Schinner, Mike and Soledad Lynch, Jane and Tommy Abshire, Jack Lynch (John Schoenknecht), Dan and Beth Lynch, Barb and John Handel, Joe and Christy Lynch, Nic and Lietta Kobriger, Beth and Tony Jackels, Pat and Tim Levknecht; and numerous cousins, extended family, and friends.Ben was preceded in death by his aunt, Mary Selissen, and his cousin, Patrick Abshire.Friends and family may call at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, 2771 Oakwood Dr., Green Bay, from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 7, and from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, July 8, at the church.
