NEW JERSEY — Barry Alan Warshal, DDS, 74, died on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016, in New Jersey.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Judy Warshal; his daughters Amy Greenberg and her husband, Ian, of Lafayette Hill, and Nancy Berusch and her husband, Wade, of McLean, Va.; three grandchildren, Rachel Greenberg, Mya Berusch and Ari Berusch; and many close friends.
Barry was born on May 3, 1942, in Pittston, the son of the late Milton and Janet Weiss Warshal. He graduated from King's College and the University Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. Barry married Judy, in 1968, in Pittsburgh, and served as a captain in the U.S. Army Dental Corps.
Barry practiced dentistry in Pittston until his retirement in 2013. He was involved in several charitable organizations, as well as a member of the Jewish Community Center, Temple Israel of Scranton, and University of Pittsburgh dental fraternity.
Barry treasured time spent with his wife, daughters and grandchildren, and they will greatly miss him. He had a generous heart, quick sense of humor and uncanny ability to strike up a conversation with strangers.
