Lyon, BarbaraBarbara A. Lyon, 69, Weston, died Thursday, November 24, 2016 at Ministry St. Clare's Hospital, Weston, surrounded by her family.She was born on August 2, 1947 in the town of Morris, Shawano County, the daughter of the late Milton and Esther (Schwartzkopf) Wendler.On September 23, 1989, Barbara was united in marriage to Mark Lyon in Rothschild. He survives.Barb worked at 2510 Restaurant in Wausau for over 30 years and loved her customers. She was an avid Green Bay Packer and Milwaukee Brewer fan and liked to listen to old country western music. Barb enjoyed trips to the casino, watching the birds and going to lunch with her 2510 birthday club friends, but she especially enjoyed spending time with her family.Survivors include her husband, Mark Lyon, Weston; two children, Tresha (Jody) Wanta, Elderon and Amy (Kip Ludtke) Tratz, Wausau; two step-children, Traci (Dan) Behrens, Rothschild and Vicki (Wyly) Schiebe, Schofield; eight grandchildren, Lindsey, Kyle, Olivia, Danielle, Austin, Bryce, Morgan and Conner; three great-grandchildren, Kileigh, Max and Ashton and her siblings, Ilene (Jerry) Bohlman, Clintonville, Beverly (Dave) Radun, Lake Tomahawk, Leonard (Jean) Wendler, Neenah, Violet (Charles) Peterson, Ontonagon, MI, Kenny (Mary) Wendler, Oshkosh, Alice (Frank) Bohlman, Eland, Donnie Wendler, Wittenberg and Dennis (Pam) Wendler, Neenah. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Geri (Walter) Voight, Sussex and Ruth Lyon, Weston; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.In addition to her parents, Barb was preceded in death by one sister, Rose Sutheimer; one brother, Milton Wendler, Jr. and two brothers-in-law, Don Lyon and Stan (Janet) Lyon.The Memorial Service will be held at 12noon on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Wittenberg. Rev. Michael Larson will officiate. Visitation will be on Thursday from 10am until the time of services at the church.
