Barbara Thomas, 59, of Chicago, Illinois and former Jacksonville Fl. resident , passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2020. She was born a fighter that overcame many of this life's struggles by putting her faith in God. Barbara was a fun outgoing, energetic, positive, supportive and caring person. She made countless sacrafices to her kids and family.

Barbara was born to Robert Lee Thurmond and Rena Thurmond, December 31, 1960 in Chicago, Illinois. She will be joining her father and oldest son Edward Washington IV.

Barbara graduated from St. Mel. and attended Robert Morris College.

Barbara is survived by Darnell Washington (Michele Washington). She also is survived by 9 grandchildren Edward, Eqravius, Shakina, Elantra, Davion, Destiny, Davion, Christian, Julian & Darnell Jr. BJ is also survived by 2 great grandchildren.
