Barbara Gayhart BURLINGTON — Barbara C. Gayhart, age 79, peacefully passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Aurora Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Barbara was born on June 28, 1933 to Harold and Dorothy (née Peltier) Miller in Racine, WI. where she spent her early life. On July 13, 1962 Barbara was united in marriage to Jeffrey L. Gayhart in Racine. Following their marriage they lived in Racine, and then in 1977 they relocated to Burlington. Barbara was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. She loved her Lord, family and friends and enjoyed her summers vacationing up north in St. Germain. In her free time, Barbara liked to keep busy quilting and sewing. She also enjoyed fishing and her visits to the Casino. More than anything else, Barbara treasured the time she spent with Jeff, her husband of 50 years. Barbara is survived by her loving and devoted husband Jeff, her children: Steve (Wilma) Welch of Racine, Joan (Kevin) Smalley of Delavan, Ted Welch of Delavan, Ron (Robin) Gayhart of Delavan, Brian (Kara) Gayhart of Burlington and Tom Gayhart of Kenosha, she is further survived by 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, 2 sisters Sandra (Art) Hana of Waterford and Vicki (Dick) Marcsis of Racine. She was preceded in death by her parents. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday November 20, 2012 at 12 Noon at St. Charles Catholic Church with Rev. Steve Amann officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Charles Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Monday November 19, 2012 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home.
