Arthur Gene Wood, 79 of Eastland passed away Saturday September 5th, 2020 in Eastland. Funeral service will be held September 7th at 10 a.m at the lake Leon Baptist Church with Rev. Craig Rhoton officiating. Burial will follow in The Simpsons Cemetery directed by Edwards Funeral Home of Eastland.

Mr. Wood was born April 7th 1941 in Gorman Texas to Randall Floyd and Daisy Jewel Wood. After graduating high school he began to work at Texas Electric service Company where he remained faithful employee throughout his entire life, until he retired as Chief dispatcher. He married Tommie Janis Tidwill on December 9, 1971 in Odessa tx. He was a member of the lake Leon Baptist Church and enjoy the outdoors especially golfing, fishing, hunting, woodworking, and gardening. He loved watching old westerns on television. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers (Clifton, and James Wilburn wood) and one sister (Inez Etheridge).

Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years Tommie Janis Tidwill of Eastland, 2 daughters janetta wood of eastland, and Dawn Michelle Rielly of Cisco, 5 Grand children Dallas William\'s of Joshua, Tx, Shina britton of Eastland tx, Ebony Cornish of Indianapolis Indiana, Richard Cornish of Cisco Tx, and Tyler Riley of Eastland Tx, 7 great grand children and many nieces and nephews.
