Antonio Randazzo, 87, of Fort Mill, SC, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at CMC - Pineville.Mr. Randazzo was born on November 5th, 1928 in Sciara, Sicily, son to the late Guiseppe and Maria Randazzo. Antonio, his wife, and their 5 children came to the US in 1967, bringing with them his love of the land, passion for food, and devotion to family. Antonio was in the restaurant business with his 3 sons for more than 40 years, appearing in the kitchens of Tony's Pizza, Papa Pino's and The Grid Iron Restaurant. He was known for his incredible garden that supported huge Sunday family dinners at his home. Antonio was affectionately called "Papa" by customers and friends, and will be forever remembered by his grandchildren as "Nonno." He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.Survivors include his beloved wife, Giuseppa Randazzo of Fort Mill; children Joe Randazzo and wife Bobbi of Fort Mill, Philip Randazzo and fiance Lucy Parsons of Monroe, Mariella Sullivan and husband Dennis of New York, Domenica Morrissey and husband Brian of New Jersey, Roy Randazzo and wife Rebecca of Matthews; siblings Maria Buccellato of New York, Sal Randazzo of Pennsylvania, Josephine Battaglia of New York, Larry Randazzo of New York; 19 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, October 14, 2016 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home, Weddington Chapel, 3700 Forest Lawn Drive, Matthews, NC 28104. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 8015 Ballantyne Commons Parkway, Charlotte, NC 28277.
