Bennett, 90, went to meet her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 26, 2017.Arrangements are under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.Anne was born on November 7, 1926 in Moore, Oklahoma. In her toddler years, the family relocated to California where she reinvented herself as a west coast girl. Anne was a young bride of a Marine serving in the South Pacific during WWII. During this time Anne became a Rosie the Riveter in the Washington State Shipyards. Upon her husband's return from the war, Anne and her family settled in Portland, Oregon where she helped run the family business. In the 1950's, Anne relocated back to Southern California. From a position as an entry level clerk, Anne rose to executive status in the cosmetic industry, proudly pioneering in the role of hardworking, talented and focused single women and was awarded with impressive success.During a holiday visit to her daughter's home, an encounter with a teenage grandson resulted in an intense desire to learn personally about the message of God's love and sacrifice this young man was so passionate about sharing with her. Upon returning to the corporate offices in Ohio, Anne took a leap of faith and left Corporate America to begin a new journey in life. Anne returned to her family home in California and began a new career in counseling and ministering to others about her life's journey and sharing with others her life story. In telling her story at conferences in subsequent years, Anne speaks of those days as actually being a time of private emptiness and despair. In 1984, Anne was ordained at Christ Church in Redding, California. Throughout the years, she continued her ministry with the prison and personal counseling. In 2009, Anne relocated to Holliday, Texas to be with her daughter. Anne was an exceptional seamstress, event planner and chef. Her passion in life was to share the gospel of Christ to others. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Monta Mann; her father, Louie McPherson; and her brother, Donald Mann. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Spencer; her son, Raymond "Ray" Turner Bennett, III; six grandchildren, Floyd Spencer and wife Lorena, Howard Spencer and wife Christie, Ruth Sissom and husband Clint, Michelle Ruhl and husband Dave, Scott Bennett and wife Jodi, and Brian Olson; fifteen great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and dear friend, Janet Williams.Condolences may be sent to the family at www.owensandbrumley.com Please sign the guest book at http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/redding/
