Mrs. Anna Shizue Murahata was born on December 21, 1920 to the Kato family. She passed away on November 24, 2016 at her home with her family. She was married to Sueki Murahata (deceased) for over 50 years. Anna was extremely talented in doing many crafts including pottery, quilting, sewing, making greeting cards, cooking and baking much to the benefit of all who knew her. She had a great talent in the garden-- it always looked great to have her fresh cut flowers nicely arranged along with her sharing all of her fresh vegetables from the garden that she shared with us all. She was an active life-long member of the TriState Denver Buddhist Temple and the Japanese American Community. Anna also enjoyed traveling the world. She is survived by three children, Dennis, Richard and Sue and their respective spouses, and her sister Kiyoko Omoto. For an incredibly petite woman she had a huge impact on many lives and she will be missed. Memorial service will be held at the TriState Denver Buddhist Temple at 1947 Lawrence Street in downtown Denver on December 10, 2016 at 2PM.
