Anna (Annie) Margaret DuttoAugust 20, 1919 - February 23, 2017TulareAnna (Annie) Margaret Dutto passed away on February 23, 2017 at the age of 97 in Tulare, California. Annie was born on August 20, 1919 in Famosa, California, one of nine children born to Frank and Margaret Ferrero, Italian immigrants from the town of Cuneo, Italy.Annie was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 50 years John Dutto Jr. and her eight siblings, Steve Ferrero, Dominic Ferrero, Lucy Sylvester, Mary Berra, Catherine Dutto, Louise Belezzouli, Clara Madaule and Julia Ferrero.Annie and her sister Catherine were married to brothers John and Laurence Dutto and she was a partner in a small dairy and farming operation south of Tulare for many years. After her children were raised she worked as a bus driver and chef at Palo Verde Elementary School for 30 years retiring in 1989.She was an excellent cook and enjoyed making her favorite Italian recipes such as homemade ravioli. She found her niche in creating the most beautiful and delicious cakes from scratch. Starting with birthdays, weddings and anniversaries for her extended family she soon was sought after by brides from all over the area to make their wedding cake. Annie was an active member of Roma Lodge in Tulare for 72 years. She delighted in attending her 11 grandchildren, 28 great- grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild's religious, school and social activities. She is survived by her son Gary and wife Dawn Dutto and daughters Johnnie Kaye and husband Clarence Costa and Carolyn Joann and husband Leroy Beecher.St. Aloysius Altar Society will conduct a Rosary at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Miller's Tulare Funeral Home with visitation to follow from 5-8 p.m.Recitation of the Rosary and Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church,125 East Pleasant Avenue, Tulare, with burial at the Tulare District Cemetery, 900 East Kern Avenue in Tulare. Arrangements are entrusted to Millers Tulare Funeral.Donations in Annie's memory can be made to the Roma Lodge Scholarship Fund in care of Francis Della, 17383 Avenue 184, Strathmore, California 93267 or the donor's favorite charity.The family would like to thank her caregivers Veronica and Norma Falcon, Dr. Kumar and Dr. Evans along with family and friends during this time of grief with the passing of Anna Dutto.
