FRANCO, Angelo MarioWith profound sadness, we say goodbye to Angelo Mario Franco, who passed away peacefully with his family by his side on April 1, 2017 at the age of 89. He was born on December 3, 1927 in Castelgrande, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1951. Angelo was predeceased by his brother Nick and sister Annunziata. He is survived by his loving family, wife Filomena; children Danny (Diana), Mary (Joe), Vivian (Sal), Lawrence (Ann); grandchildren Derek (Elena), Joseph (Lisa), Danielle (Tom), Deanna (Stephen), Michelle (Marco), Davis, Lindsay, Christopher, Leah; great-grandchildren Carter, Logan, Isla, Emilio, Sienna, Karina, Santino, Adrianna; brothers Vincent, Gerry (Carole); sister-in-law Maria; and many nieces, nephews, and friends in Canada and Italy. Angelo was a proud member of the Italian Choir of British Columbia for many years and volunteered for many charities. He was a devoted member of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, participating in many of their activities and events. His many strengths included a passionate love for his family, an enthusiasm for his vast network of friends, and his joy and energy for life. He will be deeply missed by all. Visitation will be held from 6:30-8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Bell and Burnaby Funeral Chapel, 4276 Hastings Street, Burnaby. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, April 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows, 525 Slocan St., Vancouver.
