Angela ZaccheoFISHKILL - Angela Zaccheo passed away on May 2, 2017. She was born on December 29, 1927 in Palo del Colle, Italy. She was the youngest of eight children to Carlo Caputo and Angela Tursi Caputo. She married Giuseppe Zaccheo, also from Palo, in February 15, 1960. Together with their two oldest children, Vincenzo and Santa, they immigrated to the United States settling first in South Ozone Park, Queens. They eventually moved to Mahopac, New York and then to Fishkill, New York. Angela was an exemplary seamstress for both private clients and Buddy Brook Men's Wear in Baldwin Place, New York. She made many of her own clothes for herself and her daughter, including her First Holy Communion and wedding dresses. Angela helped her husband and family open and operate Joe's Meat and Deli in Mahopac and, later, Joe's Italian Marketplace in Fishkill, Her delicious Italian recipes were featured in the stores, as well as, her fresh, homemade mozzarella.Angela was a proud grandmother to Lauren, Joseph and Sara Byrnes of Wappingers Falls whom she deeply loved. She enjoyed attending every play, concert, dance recital and jujitsu belt ceremony they had. Angela leaves behind her daughter and son-in-law Santa and Ray Byrnes and her son, Carlo Zaccheo. She was a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews both in the United States and Italy. Angela is pre-deceased by her husband, Giuseppe and her son, Vincenzo. She has returned Home to them and to her parents, sisters, brothers and many other family members.Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, at Robert H. Auchmoody Funeral Homes, Inc., 1028 Main St., Fishkill, NY 12524. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 5, 2017 at 10:15 AM from St. Mary's Church in Fishkill. Entombment will follow in Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery
