Amy B. HolmesMANSFIELD: Amy B. Holmes, 63, of Mansfield passed away on Friday, July 14, 2017 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. She was born on April 7, 1954 in Lorain, OH.Amy was a strong woman who enjoyed socializing with her family and friends. She had great sense of humor. Amy was known to be a great provider and very trustworthy. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother and cherished her family very much. She enjoyed playing dominos, cards, watching television, traveling, and listening to Blues music.She is survived by her daughters, Shawana (Robin Anderson) Adkins of Alabama, Talesia (Duane) Greene of Kansas, and Laken Holmes of Mansfield; her grandchildren, Duane Greene Jr. and Asyah Greene of Kansas; her brothers, Samuel and William Jenkins; a sister, Eva Jenkins; her good friends, Mona Pinkston and Shirley Jones; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other dear relatives.She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Holmes; her mother, Mildred (Binns) Jenkins; brother, Clifton Hughes; and sisters, Julie and Delores Jenkins.The family will receive friends on Friday, July 21, 2017 from 5:00-7:00 pm at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St. A funeral service officiated by Bishop Sylvester Ginn Sr. will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at the funeral home, where an additional hour of visitation will be held from 10:00am - 11:00 am, prior to the services.
