Kundinger , Alvin W.Alvin W. "Al" Kundinger, 82, Marshfield, died with family by his side on Friday, April 7, 2017 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Hewitt, with Rev. Jesse Burish officiating. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be grandsons, John Mueller, Jeremy Kundinger, Michael Kundinger, Nicholas Beaudry, Matthew Beaudry and Zach Kundinger. Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post 54 of Marshfield. The visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Tuesday at Rembs Funeral Home and from 9:30 am on Wednesday until service time at St. Michael's Catholic Church. Alvin was born on June 18, 1934 in Blenker, to Michael and Albina (Dammon) Kundinger. He attended St. Kilian's Parochial School, Blenker and was a high school graduate. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving from August 1956 until his honorable discharge August 1958. He married Carol A. Miller on September 30, 1958 at St. John's Catholic Church, Marshfield. Al had been employed at Harder's Cheese Factory and then at Wick Building Systems for 43 years until his retirement in 2005. While at Wick's he also worked at Figi's as a security guard. He enjoyed hunting, hobby farming, horses, gardening, wood crafts, spending time with his children and grandchildren and "going up north". He is survived by his wife, Carol, and their 8 children, Debra Mueller, Steve (Sheila) Kundinger, James W. (Tania) Kundinger, Dennis Kundinger, Vicki (Darrin) Franke, Linda (Ben) Beaudry, Bonnie Kundinger and Amy Kundinger. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, John, Katie, Kristie, Melissa, Jeremy, Jessica, Jenessa, Michelle, Heidi, Ryan, Ely, Michael, Kasie, Nicholas, Matthew, Marcus, Sean and Zach, 5 great grandchildren and 2 expected soon, his twin sister, Valeria Kremer and special nieces Irene (Russell) Klevene and Annette Molepske.
